We arrived here at basecamp day before yesterday. After a good rest day we started our progress up the mountain.
Today was a carry to Camp 1, and came back down to base camp for the night. We had a great morning, moved fast, and efficiently.
We had planned to do another rest day here tomorrow, but we’re feeling good enough, so we’re thinking we’ll head on up the mountain in the morning.
We’ll update one more time before we leave base camp, but know that everything is going great and we are so grateful for everybody’s support.

Tentative Schedule:
Jan 13th, arrive in Mendoza in evening
Jan 14th, gear checks, permits and drive to Penitentes
Jan 15th – Jan 17th Hike to Plaza Argentina
Jan 18 – 20th, Plaza Argentina (rest day, then carry to C1, rest day)
Jan 21 – 24th, carry and move to higher camps (3 camps)
Jan 25th, move to Colera camp (highest)
Jan 26th, summit day?
Jan 27 – 30 contingency days
Jan 31st, Plaza de Mulas base camp
Feb 1, Hike out to Penitentes
Feb 2, drive to Mendoza
Feb 3rd, depart for US
Feb 4th, arrive home
